I saw their uncovered heads, black and gold in the dark water. I saw them come out and I saw that they were naked, unshy, beautiful, and full of grace, and I watched the naked women walk out of the sea.

They say that regret is usually a waste of time. And for all the mistakes I’ve made in life I’ve been lucky to avoid it almost entirely. To regret is to doubt the path you’ve taken, for better or for worse. I don’t lack regret because my life is perfect, but rather because I’m not. I’m just not perfect enough to see how I could have made it any better.

A girl walks into a bar. It sounds like the beginning of a bad joke and maybe it is. But it doesn’t feel funny. She’s gorgeous of course. Tall and slim, hair like fire and more than enough attitude to back it up. She knows she’s beautiful but she isn’t conceited. Just… self aware.

Bunny ears, for a start. Especially on feminists.

Everyone cheers when they see a person on film rail against all odds to be themselves, to tell the truth and to change the world’s perception of them. When you do it in real life, then you’re a dog… unChristian… uncouth… when you do it in real life then you are a bastard.

Each morning you have a choice to make. You’ve shaved and scrubbed, picked your shirt, brushed your suit. Now you’re left with the most important of sartorial decisions. What tie are you going to wear?

But would it really be right to go on unhappy,
to teach watching eyes that sorrow is their plight?

The strength of the magazine is its versatility… I choose my magazine by perusal or suggestion. I can ignore any page I want to. I don’t have to plug it in, wait for it to load, or even log in. I don’t feel bad for folding, tearing, or writing on it and when I’ve squeezed every bit of use out it I can toss it in the recycling bin without a seconds remorse.
